I came to peak Performance a weak, easily inflamed and just unknowledgeable in regards to my exercise and limited health in general. I had terrible inflammation from almost any physical activity but they helped me slowly and carefully ease into being more active. After some months of training with them, and learning good form and how to be more conscious about my health and listening to my body, I took the dive into a gym membership and have been really pushing my exercise and listening to body and eating healthy. Since recovering from everything life threw at me and bringing what I learned from PPC, I’ve been living a much better, less pain and worry life. Without everyone at PPC I wouldn't be where I am today and it honestly brings tears to my eyes a bit how thankful I am for the team there and helping me become what feels like a normal human being again in terms of my fitness.

I have been having hip problems for more than four years. After multiple doctors diagnosed that the hip pain was due to an issue in my back, I agreed to back surgery. The surgery did nothing to relieve the hip pain. My doctor said he had done all he could and recommended me to Peak Performance. I made an appointment with Ellora who spent an hour doing a physical exam. She came to a singular diagnosis. Ellora's ability to listen carefully, and work with my other physical issues, is a big part of my confidence in her. Also, she has uncanny insight into the minute details of each exercise which makes for an efficiency in the process. I'm getting better, quicker, because she selects the right exercises and teaches them very precisely.
I wish I had come here before I agreed to the back surgery...

This is an amazing group. They were able to quickly identify what was going on with my body and help me relieve pain I had been feeling for months. After I was feeling better they designed a workout program to help me improve my overall fitness. They are incredible at explaining what is going on and describing what treatments do to fix problems. They are eager to talk about research and back up what they are saying, which I very much appreciate.

Ellora and her team have seen me through some pretty severe illness and several injuries. I’m lucky to have had her fighting for me and feel her approach to health, wellness, and healing is definitely a defining part of why I get to live the lifestyle I want. When I first started seeing Ellora as a young 15 year old girl I was so sick I could barely walk, some days I couldn’t. I’d had specialists tell me I’d never run again. As a kid who ran circles around the athletic kids before getting sick I was pretty defeated. Ellora helped me get back to walking, and running, and helped me get healthy enough that I was able to thrive in a demanding engineering program in college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (while doing lots of extremely strenuous extracurriculars). Her willingness to collaborate with other doctors, look at the whole picture of my health and my goals, and dedication to understanding exactly who I was and what me and my body needs is something I have never found in any other medical office - and I’ve been in way too many including Mayo, Stanford, and many esteemed specialists. Ellora and her team provide care that is individualized and goal oriented. The kind of care they provided me as patient is unique, special, and extremely difficult to find in todays medical system. I’ve now graduated from college and work in one of the most physically demanding careers anyone can pick and Ellora and Kevin and their team keep me thriving in life. They’ve gotten me through and fully recovered from a severely crushed foot, several other broken bones and injuries, help me stay healthy enough to fulfill my demanding career and lifestyle while avoiding injury, and investigate and pursue how they can help me feel and be the best I possibly can despite chronic symptoms that have debilitated me in the past. Ellora has helped me successfully live the life I want to live through being an amazing advocate for my health. If you want a team behind you that truly has your best interests in health in mind, there is no better place to find it.

Peak performance and Dr. Maggs are amazing. I was having back pain, after opting for surgery a couple years prior. Dr. Maggs really listened to how I was feeling and developed a customized plan for my recovery and strength. It was perfect and exactly what I needed. I can’t speak highly enough of Peak Performance!
After having both of my hips replaced I felt like I needed a little more advanced physical therapy in order to get my strength and mobility where I needed it to be so I could successfully teach my aerobic classes. (I own a small fitness studio) Dr Ellora Maggs and her team were amazing. I did an 8 session package and it really changed my life...not only for my profession but also for my personal life. I am no longer focusing on discomfort and fear of re-injury but moving forward into my favorite activities with knowledge and confidence. Thank you!

Yes. The Strong Bones Academy is specifically designed for women with osteopenia, osteoporosis, or those at risk for bone loss. Every session is guided by a clinician who teaches safe bone-loading techniques, proper progressions, and modifications based on your health history. You’ll never be asked to do anything outside your comfort or ability.
Absolutely. This program is built for women in all levels of strength and confidence. You’ll learn foundational movements first, then progress gradually. Many participants start with very little exercise experience—our role is to guide, not push.
Most women begin noticing improved confidence, balance, and strength within 3–4 weeks. Changes in bone density take longer, but the habits and loading strategies you learn in this program lay the foundation for long-term improvement.
Our clinicians are trained to adapt movements for arthritis, back pain, knee issues, and other limitations. Before starting, you’ll complete a short health questionnaire so we can make safe, individualized recommendations throughout the program.
Each week includes targeted education, guided bone-loading practice, and personalized coaching. You’ll learn how to stimulate bone growth safely, understand what influences bone density, and build skills you can use beyond the 6 weeks.
Just comfortable clothing, supportive shoes, and a willingness to learn. We provide all equipment and educational materials. You’ll also receive a few simple “at-home” habits to reinforce what you learn in class.
