Are you frustrated by shoulder pain? Are you disappointed because shoulder pain is holding you back from the workouts and sports you love? Have you tried all the common recommendations (rest, ice, anti-inflammatories, stretching etc) but still have shoulder pain when you try to exercise?
Many years ago, I felt just like you, frustrated by the shoulder pain that was holding me back from doing what I loved. It came on from nothing, it seemed like I just woke up with it. So I tried resting it and assumed it would just go away. After a month of staying about the same, I realized I had to do something about it. Not knowing where to turn, I got an individualized session with a physical therapist and couldn't believe how simple the recommendations were. And after just a couple of weeks I had controlled the pain to virtually zero in my everyday life and could feel myself getting stronger. I had to work at it and it took a couple of months before I felt like I could do everything I wanted to do with full strength, but the key was learning how to stop aggravating it and then sticking to a consistent and progressive program that helped rebuild the strength I needed. I've taken this personal experience and have been able to apply it to so many of my clients in the gym - and we are able to effectively manage minor injuries before they get out of control without needing to take any time off of our workouts.
