Strength training built around your body, your goals, and your real life.

At Peak Performance Care, personal training is not about random workouts, chasing soreness, or pushing through pain.

It is about helping you build strength, confidence, and durability so you can move better, feel stronger, and keep doing the things you care about.

Whether you are getting back into exercise, learning how to lift, training for sport, or trying to stay active without irritating old aches and pains, our training is designed to meet you where you are and progress at the right pace.

Who personal training is for

We commonly help people who:

  • Feel unsure where to start with strength training
  • Want to exercise but are afraid of making pain worse
  • Have finished rehab and need help building back up
  • Want better balance, strength, mobility, or confidence
  • Play sports and want to improve performance
  • Need accountability and structure
  • Want to learn proper lifting technique
  • Are active but feel like their body keeps breaking down

Our approach

Training should challenge you, but it should also make sense.

We look at what your body can currently tolerate, what your goals require, and where the biggest gaps are. From there, we build a plan that helps you improve strength, control, power, conditioning, and confidence over time.

This may include:

  • Strength training
  • Mobility and movement prep
  • Balance and coordination work
  • Power and athletic development
  • Return-to-sport preparation
  • Technique coaching
  • Progressive conditioning
  • Education so you understand what you are doing and why

Not just workouts. A plan.

A lot of people do not need more exercises. They need better direction.

Our goal is to help you know what to do, how hard to work, when to progress, and when to adjust. You should leave each session feeling like there is a purpose behind the plan.

Meet Jonah

Jonah leads personal training at Peak Performance Care. He grew up in Tuolumne County playing multiple sports and spending as much time outside as possible. He earned his Bachelor of Science from California State University Monterey Bay, where he studied Exercise Science.

His background in exercise science, biomechanics, and strength training helps him coach people through movement in a way that is practical, approachable, and individualized.

After dealing with his own soccer-related injuries, Jonah developed a strong interest in helping people build bodies that are more prepared for the activities they love. His training style is educational, encouraging, and focused on helping people become stronger without feeling reckless or overwhelmed.

Outside the gym, you can usually find him skiing, golfing, playing pickleball, or wandering somewhere in the mountains.

Training options

Most people who reach out to us for training are not looking for random workouts.

They usually fall somewhere into one of two categories:

Some people want to feel more confident exercising again without constantly worrying about pain, stiffness, old injuries, or “doing something wrong.”

Others already live an active lifestyle and want to become stronger, more athletic, and more resilient for the demands they place on their body.

That’s why most of our training tends to fall into two broad paths:

Exercise Without Pain

This path is designed for people who want to build strength, confidence, and fitness without feeling overwhelmed or beat up in the process.

Many people who start here:

  • Have taken time away from exercise
  • Feel deconditioned or stiff
  • Have old injuries they are nervous about flaring up
  • Want to lose weight or improve health
  • Need guidance on where to start
  • Want structure and accountability

Our approach focuses on helping you gradually build capacity in a way your body can tolerate so you can become stronger without the constant cycle of overdoing it, backing off, and starting over again.

If this sounds like you, our free guide is a great place to start:

Durable Athlete Training

This path is designed for active adults and athletes who want more from their body.

These clients are often already:

  • Playing pickleball, tennis, golf, or other sports
  • Going to the gym regularly
  • Running, hiking, or skiing
  • Training recreationally or competitively
  • Trying to reduce recurring injuries
  • Wanting better performance and durability

The goal here is not just exercise — it’s improving strength, resilience, recovery, movement quality, and long-term athletic capacity.
